Dreesch 7

Creative vacations – creative work

Belonging to the manor house in the small village of Dreesch, the house was built in 1900 as a sheepfold behind fieldstone barn and granary, and in 1936 was converted into a separate farmstead. Since the beginning of 2015, Norbert Fliege and Christiane Lünskens have been working on bringing the farm back to life to create a very special place for guests.

The sustainably renovated vacation apartment offers space for 2 adults and 1 child (up to 6 years). The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen-living room. There are large tables for working in both the bedroom and the kitchen-living room. The WLAN is fast and stable. On cooler days, you can cozy up in front of the fireplace. Next to the bathroom with floor-level shower, you have direct access to the large garden. Garden furniture, barbecue, swing, sandbox are available. Dogs are welcome. Two bathing lakes in the village are within walking distance.

Craft and creative workshops are held at the farm throughout the year. Learn, for example, how to weave baskets, how to make your own wonderful home accessories from concrete, or how to transform wood into true works of art using an ancient Japanese technique.

A very special experience also awaits you at the SupperClub@Dreesch7, which takes place regularly on the last Saturday of the month. In a small exquisite round you enjoy the evening atmosphere, fine cuisine and good conversation with a 5-course menu made from regional ingredients.

It is a particular concern of ours to work as sustainably and environmentally friendly as possible in all areas: Be it in the garden design, the cultivation of fruit, vegetables, herbs and edible flowers and the processing of the harvests. We rely on old, native and hardy varieties. It goes without saying that our garden should also provide food and shelter for numerous animals. We try to avoid waste and use carbon neutral and sustainable materials and techniques as much as possible in the workshops and restoration of the house.

The offer is climate-friendly because we are

  • use almost exclusively regional or organic products in our kitchen
  • pay attention to species-appropriate animal husbandry for meat
  • offer vegetarian/vegan cuisine
  • Grow old varieties of fruits, vegetables and herbs in the garden, which guests can also use
  • Obtain 100% green electricity from the region
  • have used ecological building materials such as wood and straw and linseed oil-based paints
  • have reconditioned and reused existing materials in the interior design
