Templin is embedded in a lake landscape created by the ice age. The completely preserved town wall made of field stones, Gothic brick gates and weigh houses give the town a medieval flair.
The Lübbesee is a large, river-like, natural groundwater lake. The almost 300-hectare lake stretches for around 12 km along the villages of Templin, Ahrensdorf and Petersdorf to Ahlimbsmühle. The Templiner Seenkreuz is located on the northern shore. On the western shore of the lake, the tour leads from Templin to Ahlimbsmühle on the Uckermärkischer Radrundweg. Refreshment stops in Templin, Petersdorf and Ahrensdorf. Bicycles and e-bikes can be rented in Templin.

Condition of the path
- Templin – Ahrensdorf: roadside cycle path
- Ahrensdorf – Petersdorf: road with little traffic
- Petersdorf – Ahlimbsmühle: on a road with little traffic as far as the L100, then right along a cycle path for approx. 4 km.
- Ahlimbsmühle – Templin: Uckermärkischer Radrundweg (on the beach of the Lübbesee (AHORN Seehotel) head towards Templin town station, continue past the stadium, turn left into Prenzlauer Allee to the starting point)

Cycle Tour around lake Lübbesee is also suitable for e-bikes. Bicycles and e-bikes can be hired from the Templin bike center.
